I have joined a cool new website to promote my art images. They supply prints from my paintings as well as show off other young (I wish) artist's work. It is a vibrant site dedicated to urban and street art as well as my weird stuff. Give it a try. It is an excellent site run by a young guy with more hair than me (but not as many years and I suspect, parties).
His name is Steve Watson. You can contact him on….

<I have joined a cool new website called Artybuzz. It's run by a young guy with a lot of hair (well more than I have). Check it out, especially if you are an artist. I have downloaded a couple of my latest paintings and will be adding more.

latest painting

This is my latest painting. It is painted in water soluble graphite and acrylic on canvas. Size 120cm x 160cm. Originally a small sketch, it was called ‘The Damned’. I would like to find a better name so if anyone out there has a suitable suggestion I would be most pleased to hear it. The painting is for sale (contact me on info@artist-gavinmayhew.co.uk for price) or prints from A4 to A2 sizes are available.

Some icicles I photographed at Slit Wood near Westgate. After tweaking the pic on my computer I turned the image into a Victorian style ball (the dance type). It’s good isn’t it?

My pal sporting the tattoo I designed,( tattoo c/o www.gecko-imagestattoo.co.uk/ ) showing that art can be applied in many ways. He also modelled for the first time at the last life class that I held at Stanhope Dales Centre. He was a brilliant model and kept so still it was unreal. The students did not know whether to draw him or the tattoos.
